Platypow's name is a combination of platypus and the onomatopoeia pow. Platypow is based on a platypus that is modelled after a Muay Thai fighter, a martial artist that utilizes knees and elbow strikes in addition to punches and kicks. Coincidentally, the two lines are a two-lined evolution and have mirrored typings (the Platypow line is Fighting-Poison, the Croagunk line is Poison-Fighting), as well as evolving somewhere around level 30. Also, in a recent game I finally used Arcanaine, who, according to stats, is one of the strongest Pokemon around, but I didn't really find him to be so strong compared to others (it could be due to Fire type not being a needed type in the games).This Pokémon cannot be found holding an item. ![]() Predators that don’t pay heed to Platypow because of its tiny size are quickly surprised by its fiery nature and its remarkably strong punches.
